Why are you choosing to be an H22 partner?
We want to be there where it’s all happening! The city of Helsingborg is not only challenging itself but is also working continuously to push the boundaries within environmental solutions and urban development. Helsingborg is a role model for many cities, both nationally and internationally, and we at Sundprojekt see our involvement in H22 as both a way to support the city’s work and also an opportunity to challenge ourselves and drive our own development forward. We are proud to be an actor involved in building Helsingborg and developing the cities of tomorrow.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
We hope to be able to contribute and inspire individuals, housing developers, and the city itself in developing the homes of the future and the ”smart home” concept. In our project Oceanateljén, we intend to present smart technical solutions that benefit those living there and the housing association, and show how this can be positively integrated with the city. A winning concept for all parties involved.
What challenges does your organisation aim to solve within the context of the H22 initiative?
For us, it’s about challenging ourselves and showing that even a smaller business has the courage to drive the housing industry forward and step up. We are working to create new solutions in close collaboration with other actors in the construction and technology industries as well as with those cities in which we operate. We want to create more sound, flexible, and sustainable housing environments, that are appealing from a housing and environment perspective, and shall feel as attractive and appealing in fifty years and they do today.
When you imagine the city of the future, what do you picture as the most exciting changes?
We look forward to a good balance between technology, development, and environment. We see a city where new technology brings us together and makes everyday life easier, both within the home and in society at large. Where sustainable solutions and a sharing economy contribute to a calmer and cleaner society where we thrive as people, where we can develop, and where we have a city environment that encourages spontaneous meetings between people. A well-functioning city with possibilities to live in symbiosis with nature and technology.
