BLOXHUB is the Nordic hub for sustainable urbanisation. Founded on the belief that the challenges of global urbanisation and climate change require partnerships and new ways of collaboration.
We form resilient and innovative urban solutions collectively by bringing together the brightest minds in the realm of Healthy and Resilient Cities, Circular Economy in Construction, and Urban Mobility. At BLOXHUB, businesses and organisations can share and scale innovative urban solutions across stakeholders, sectors, and borders.
“We help mature ideas, explore opportunities, and make new solutions drawing on our global presence and local knowledge.”
– Jakob Norman-Hansen, Head of Global Networks
We share a deep commitment with H22 to create sustainable urban environments based on collaboration and partnerships. H22 represents a fresh breath of air in Nordic urban development and an interesting approach to innovation and collaboration across sectors.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
BLOXHUB represents a large ecosystem of companies, research institutions, and organisations working with sustainable urbanisation from different perspectives. We wish to mobilise relevant resources of this ecosystem and facilitate a process of innovation that can tackle specific challenges in Helsingborg – and provide new solutions by working in collaboration with organisations from Denmark, Sweden and beyond.
When you imagine the city of the future, what do you picture as the most exciting changes?
The city of the future will be more resilient to external threats and more responsive to the diverse needs of the citizens – featuring new types of co-living, co-working, intelligent climate adaptation, sustainable mobility, and public spaces that enable social connections in daily life in the city. Cities will hopefully also be greener and more democratic societal units.
In what way can Helsingborg be used as a test bed for your organisation and innovations?
The development of new districts or renovation of existing urban areas represent unique opportunities to implement innovative solutions and technologies. We hope to be able to activate Danish organisations to test technologies for healthier and smarter buildings, circular construction principles or smart mobility in specific projects.
