– Magnus Åberg, CEO at Bengt Dahlgren
H22 is an exciting project that looks to the future with smart and sustainable solutions. This is completely in line with our vision as Civil Engineers that put People First, and at Bengt Dahlgren, we see it as only natural to be involved in H22.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
Through our involvement in this project, we have an opportunity to present for many people how we can together reduce society’s environmental impact in a positive way by lowering carbon dioxide emissions radically while also increasing the value of properties.
What challenges does your organisation aim to solve within the context of the H22 initiative?
We at Bengt Dahlgren want to work with the H22 initiative to improve ecological, economic, and social sustainability. This will be achieved through, for example, working towards a circular economy, looking at the sharing of common resources, and seeing opportunities in helping the residents of Helsingborg to collaborate with each other and create a socially and economically sustainable work and living environment.
When you imagine the city of the future, what do you picture as the most exciting changes?
The city of the future is a green city where buildings are used continually and have many functions. For example, a school can be used during evenings for other activities. This requires creating a level of flexibility to enable quick conversions at an early stage in the planning, but it also means that buildings can be used more efficiency than is the case today, and therefore don’t need to be built to the same extent as today. We very much look forward to living and working in the future city where the well-being of the people and planet come first. This is an exciting time we live in, with great development potential, and many improvement opportunities. The journey of change will continue in tomorrow’s city.
