Tyréns is one of Sweden’s leading community development consultancies. Together with our customers and partners, we create sustainable solutions in the fields of urban development and infrastructure. Owned by a private foundation, Tyréns is committed to research and development. We are driven by a thirst for knowledge and a desire to create better communities.
“Through H22, Tyréns wants to help showing how the smart city of the future can be shaped through engagement, inspiration, and by sharing different kinds of knowledge and experience.”
For a long time, Tyréns’ activities in Helsingborg have been characterised by a high level of engagement in matters concerning the city’s development. The company that Tyréns acquired in the year 2000 was an operator in Helsingborg that was deeply involved in Norra Hamnen, the development of Parapeten, Kvickbron, Dunkers kulturhus, Helsingörskajen, surveys regarding the tunnel projects, etc. Participating in the follow-up event to H99 only feels natural, especially considering the expo’s extensive focus on innovation.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
Tyréns is an innovation-driven community development consultancy that develops the cities of today and the future. Thanks to our ownership structure, we can operate using both a long-term and circular perspective, with business profits being invested in new research, innovation, and development.
It’s a city designed for people that continues to evolve alongside people. A city characterised by sustainability, where social and cultural sustainability form the framework for future developments. A thoughtfully designed environment creates a feeling of safety and curiosity, it inspires, rouses emotions, and creates experiences. It shapes social environments where people want to be and where communities can grow. It is when we are able to combine function, aesthetics, and technology that we create truly sustainable communities.
In what way can Helsingborg be used as a test bed for your organisation and innovations?
We are testing a concept for mobile workplaces around the city to facilitate working from home during, for example, a pandemic when there’s a lack of space at home or when it’s no longer possible to go to the office. A concept that can be used in multiple locations and come in different sizes. Together with other H22 partners, we can contribute by offering our services and expertise within innovative solutions for the urban development of tomorrow.
