Tunstall is at the forefront of developing services and functions that help people with care needs to live an independent life and experience more. We at Tunstall have unique expertise and a passion for what we do, as well as a rich history on which to build.
Increased focus on the possibilities created by welfare technology and digitisation is an important issue – not just in Helsingborg but in Sweden as a whole. Tunstall wants to contribute to development and create the future of healthcare via smart welfare technology so that people can continue to live an independent life. By collaborating within the City of Helsingborg’s innovation initiative H22 and with the Health and Social Care Department, we want to get closer to our customers – those with a chronic illness, the elderly, and healthcare staff and management – in order to understand their needs. We provide the technical elements that enable pioneering welfare technology and which also create an attractive and effective work situation for all professionals, so that warm hands can be put to the best use. With H22, we at Tunstall want to show how this is possible!
A smart city utilises technology’s potential for sustainable development and a thriving environment for all who live and work there. It’s a city that provides high-quality equal-opportunity care to all its residents. Where the staff can enjoy their work and develop. Where technological support and the municipality’s employees work together so that it’s possible to continue doing what is meaningful, being part of a community with others and experiencing a high quality of life.
What challenges does your organisation aim to solve within the context of the H22 initiative?
In Sweden, we are living increasingly longer, while at the same time higher demands are being placed on society’s resources. In light of this, and the fact that Sweden aims to be a world leader in harnessing the potential of digitisation and ehealth, we at Tunstall see opportunities. Our services can contribute to healthcare being more equal, effective, accessible, and safe. In a future where everyone is connected, engaged in their health, and has extensive access to information, Tunstall is creating a continuum of welfare technology to improve quality of life. Tunstall wants to show examples of how technological support can improve ways of working so that a top work environment and quality of life can be achieved.
In what way can Helsingborg be used as a test bed for your organisation and innovations?
With a focus on the individual’s needs, we want to show an ecosystem of services for connected care where people have unlimited access around the clock to the personalised help they need, regardless of where they are. Over time, their need for services can change and be adjusted. Proactivity will be enabled by AI, which is a great benefit as support and measures can be initiated as preventive action. When we conduct development, we first want to understand the needs of those who will use our services, so that we know we’re developing the right kind of services. The aim is to continuously develop services in close contact with customers in order to receive feedback. Test beds in Helsingborg are therefore invaluable.
