“Having the opportunity to be a partner of H22 is an excellent chance for us to showcase how the city of the future will look.”
– Elena Sjödin, founder and CEO
We see Helsinborg as the forefront of innovative cities with forward-thinking and ambitious governance enabling ecosystems for businesses to innovate and test their progressive ideas. Having the opportunity to be a partner of H22 is an excellent chance for us to showcase how the city of the future will look. We want to give perspective on how we can effectively use commercial service and social robots in various environments to automate and improve our daily life. To achieve the best effect, we must link together all the solutions and see robotic as part of the entire ecosystem of smart cities. Cities and city planners will play an essential role in creating those ecosystems and adopting a current infrastructure to welcome new technologies. Therefore, we believe that approaching H22 as a sandbox environment to showcase and experiment with robotics is a perfect way to highlight the benefits as well as challenges cities, businesses, and residence might face in a transition to an era of the 4th industrial revolution.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
We plan to contribute with two projects, one of the projects is the “Mini Mile” project, where we will use the Oceanhamnen area to present the future of deliveries with drones, robots, and droids. We will explore how autonomous deliveries will affect our behaviors, what implications we should think of, and how they will link retail and real estate sectors and help create a sustainable and seamless shopping experience.
During our second project, “robots as guides and assistants,” we will use a humanoid robot and robot dog to help tourists and exhibition participants find themself around, answer questions in various languages, show a path to any attraction, display the nearest bus stop/train schedule, and assist with other matters. The primary purpose will be to shift the mindset from fearing technology to seeing its benefits and learning how robots can enhance human well-being.
