Why are you choosing to be an H22 partner?
Serneke wants to contribute and drive societal development forward. As the next generation construction company, we will be at the forefront of the global development of smart and sustainable urban development. We are, and have previously been, involved in development projects in Helsingborg, such as Oceanhamnen, and being an H22 Partner is therefore a natural choice to continue being able to engage in the development of Helsingborg, its people, and ourselves.

Through our pursuit of the goal to challenge the industry, engage the present, and inspire the future, we want to contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities. We have identified challenges and opportunities in the housing of the future that we want to be part of solving and developing. We want what is built in the future to be developed more on the basis of quality of life and human needs.
What challenges does your organisation aim to solve within the context of the H22 initiative?
With H22, we want to establish a creative space for dialogue with the aim of capturing the lifestyle of residents and finding circular solutions to societal challenges, therefore contributing to a smarter, more sustainable city. We want to explore how trends such as increased loneliness, new family structures, and increased working from home – as well as a greater focus on sustainable living – influence the preferences of the H22 attendees as regards the design of tomorrow’s home.
When you imagine the city of the future, what do you picture as the most exciting changes?
We look forward to seeing how the cities of the future will be developed and adapted without compromising on sustainability, from an economic, cultural, social, and environmental perspective. We see inclusive cities with a sense of community and contentment among the residents. Through the exponential development of digital and technical functions, new innovative solutions will become part of our everyday life faster than we think.
