Why are you choosing to be an H22 partner?
Nordic Choice Hotels, which Clarion Hotels in Helsingborg are a part of, always wants to be part of making a difference, both globally and locally. Our motto is to create a better world, and we can do this through H22. What the city of Helsingborg and H22 stand for is in line with the Clarion vision – to improve the quality of life for our guests and employees – and that’s why we’re choosing to be an H22 partner.
In what way will your involvement contribute to the development of Helsingborg and other cities?
By providing modern premises, inspiring spaces, and newly built hotel rooms in central Helsingborg by the sea, where all people, businesses, and organisations are welcome and can meet, we contribute to new interactions where people can develop future solutions and be innovative together. For Clarion Hotels, it’s important to include everybody, that everyone’s voice is heard, and that all have equal value regardless of age, gender, background, religion etc. We want to develop Helsingborg through the opportunities we create for new meetings.
When building the cities of tomorrow, what new forms of cooperation do you think we need?
We at Clarion Hotels see the possibility of many new forms of cooperation by doing away with the traditional competitiveness between companies in the same industry and instead looking at how to promote, support, and develop together in the best interests of the residents, guests, and destination. We envision full service at the individual level, based on each person’s preferences. For example, collaborations where the guest can sit in the hotel’s restaurant and order food from one of Helsingborg’s other fantastic restaurants and have it delivered to the hotel. Another example could be the hotel offering the residents of Helsingborg hotel services at home. Everything can be ordered digitally or via full service from the hotel’s staff.
In what way can Helsingborg be used as a test bed for your organisation and innovations?
Helsingborg is a fairly big city with a thriving business sector and with short distances, not just geographically but also at the network level. The climate in the city promotes a daring mindset in testing possibilities and welcomes the knowledge and development that comes from failing. For Clarion’s part, we can test our new ideas in the city since we have two different hotels; one that’s 100 years old and one that opened in 2021. These hotels attract different target groups and will offer a range of different services. Taken together, this allows us to take chances and test new things in Helsingborg.
