Erik Bergkvist
Erik Bergkvist is a member of the Committee on Regional Development (REGI) and a substitute member of the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) and the Committee on Budgets (BUDG). Erik was also assistant Professor at CERUM, Center for Regional Research Umeå University.
Erik’s experience as President of the Regional Board of Västerbotten has given him first-hand knowledge of how European cooperation can benefit all involved. Since 2019, Erik is a member of the European Parliament. He will be part of one of the panel discussions and give his views on the EU innovation agenda and the cities’ role in climate action and European competitiveness.
