We live in a society of excess and we need to adapt our behaviour to consume in a more sustainable way. When a product has been used up according to the user, the product can live on in a new form with a new user – we create a cycle of resources.
The idea behind Resursens hus is simple. Centralise the handling of resources and coordinate the distribution of, among other things, online purchases, food deliveries, and different mobility solutions at a neighbourhood level. We also want to enable the recycling and sharing of resources, offer tools for minor repairs, and convey knowledge on living a more sustainable life. Resursens hus also has the potential to become a really useful service hub for the residents.
Oceanhamnen is Helsingborg’s most sustainable district. Here you can find many smart solutions for circular flows that support the residents in living more sustainably. We hope that Resursens hus will play an important role by being a collection point for resources and also a place for social interaction. We are also improving traffic safety through proactive traffic reduction that is resulting in fewer lorries and garbage trucks in the residential areas.
Resursens hus is for those living in Oceanhamnen and the activities will be developed together with the residents. The results will be increased quality of life and more efficient material flows that save both time and money. The ambition is to support the transition to a more circular economy, to go from waste to resources, and to create a feeling of community.
