Univrses is a 3D Computer Vision and Machine Learning company creating and delivering technologies to build an autonomous and intelligent future. We are based in Stockholm, Sweden, but work with clients in different industries all over the world. We are developing a suite of products, called 3DAI™ Engine, that can be adapted and deployed in different applications where autonomy and automation is needed.

Historically, our focus has been on mobile robotics and autonomous driving, working with companies like Zenseact (formerly Zenuity), ABB and Husqvarna. During 2019 we started developing a smart city platform, called 3DAI™ City. In September 2020 we launched the first version of the platform together with our early adopters at the City of Stockholm, the Swedish Transport Administration, and Taxi Stockholm. We are now eager to share what we have built with the rest of the world.

Macro-trends such as urbanisation, population growth, and the climate crisis place great demands on cities, countries, and companies to develop, become smarter, and achieve more with fewer resources. Univrses is committed to contributing to the development of smarter cities and we see the partnership with H22 as part of that commitment.

Univrses believes that the basis for effectively developing smarter cities is a data-driven approach. For a city to be considered smart, it must use data more widely than cities do today. Univrses will provide cities and authorities with the timely, relevant, and actionable information about their surroundings that they really need.

Cities need to find a way to take advantage of innovation created by several different companies and try to avoid locking themselves in with just one or a few suppliers. Companies of all sizes and from different industries, need to find business models that support collaboration, not exclusion. We need to work together to achieve maximum resource utilisation and always have a user-oriented approach to avoid things unnecessary.

By equipping a number of vehicles that already operate in Helsingborg with smartphones installed with Univrses’ app, Helsingborg’s employees can access data about the urban environment. The data is presented in a web-based dashboard and updated in real time when the vehicles move through the city. Data can be made available for Helsingborg to integrate in other applications targeting citizens.
