When I die, I want to know that I have made a difference. When I die, I want to know that I have been part of making the world a better place, even if it\u2019s only a small corner of it.<\/p>\n

In many ways, Helsingborg has become my corner, my place to try to make change happen. We know that climate is the fateful issue of our time. Acting on your own to improve the climate situation can feel like a drop in the ocean, and the idea of \u200b\u200ban international agreement can feel too big and distant to grasp. But taking action at the local level can be just the thing.<\/p>\n

Because of course there are people in Helsingborg who want to make a difference. They just need a place to do it where they can feel a sense of belonging and community. And there is nothing cooler than getting the chance to be part of creating these kinds of places.<\/p>\n

Together with some other passionate individuals in Helsingborg, and without any previous experience whatsoever, I\u2019ve opened a member-owned grocery store to make sustainable food available to more people. I\u2019ve been part of building a climate-focused community by way of a local climate contract, by the people and for the people of Helsingborg. Both of these initiatives create contexts where we can learn from each other and work for a better future.<\/p>\n

I have found my community in Helsingborg, and it gives me the support and drive I need to continue working for what I believe in. I am part of shaping a greener Helsingborg, where together we can make a difference.<\/p>\n
