Verapark – where ideas taking us towards zero waste go to grow
When was the last time you visited the city dump? In Helsingborg, you might have trouble finding it, since we’ve transformed it into a modern industrial park where businesses and innovators work within recycling and waste minimization towards eliminating all waste. We call it Verapark.
In Verapark’s incubator, small businesses with innovative ideas within environmental engineering and the waste sector get help to develop successfully. They become a part of a leading centre for circular economy in Europe, with access to the waste materials recovered and recycled by NSR for testing ideas – and to a global network connecting business, academia and the public sector to create a huge pool of competence and opportunities for collaboration and funding.
So, what are your ideas for putting waste and recycled materials to new uses?
Book a visit Vera Park’s incubator to learn more, go on a sustainability safari or get help with your idea in a free brainstorming session. Or simply read more about the project and get updates on LinkedIn or Facebook.
“Our vision is zero waste – everything should become new resources and that’s what we mean by circular economy. Businesses in Verapark have already contributed new ideas and products including particleboard with fossil-free binders instead of formaldehyde to enable safe reuse, railway sleepers made of recycled household plastic as well as biogas and sustainable fertilizers made from food waste.”
